Finding
Peace with God
You can experience peace with God when you:
Understand that God loves
you and seeks to have a personal relationship with you.
“For God so loved the world he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall
not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“I have come that they may have
life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10b
Admit that you are a sinner
and separated from God.
“…for all have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
Acknowledge that Jesus
Christ is God’s only provision for your sin.
“But God demonstrates his own love
for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us.” Romans 5:8
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the
way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me.’” John 14:6
Accept Jesus Christ as
payment for your sin and receive Him as your personal Lord
and Savior.
“Yet to all who received him, to
those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become
children of God…” John 1:12
“And you also were included in
Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a
seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing
our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's
possession—to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians
1:13,14
It is not enough
to just know about Jesus Christ and His death on the cross
for you.
You must choose to put your trust in Christ
and receive the free gift of salvation God offers. You accept
Jesus by prayer, which is simply talking to God.
“Lord Jesus I need You. I acknowledge
I am a sinner and separated from You. Thank You for dying
on the cross for me. I ask You to come into my life and make
me the kind of person You want me to be.”
All Scripture quoted is from the New International Version
of the Bible.
